We advise that we are in receipt of the following letter regarding the adoption of a Sate Fossil Emblem for Victoria. Our thanks to Hon Brad Rowswell MLA, Member for Sandringham for pursuing this on our behalf and to Dr. Vicki Karalis who has separately made representations. We will advise further as news is available of the process that the Government will use. Beaumaris has many fossils which would make an excellent State Emblem. and we hope our members will involve themselves in the process.

The Bayside Council have temporarily fenced off the access to the western side of the Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron area. This is due to their understanding that a section of the cliff beyond this point has become unstable. We have been in touch with the Council regarding this. They have an Engineer on the beach December 20. We will be advised further of their findings. Thank you for your patience.
21/12/2018
Bayside Council has inspected the area of cliff and advise that further investigation will be carried out. The existing fence will remain in place, possibly until February 2019.
